Operations platform for an ecommerce marketing agency
RayInTheDark, an agency with 200+ client accounts that runs its operations on an internal platform
- Built
- Engineering across the platform: the data foundations, the client roster and tools staff use every day, connections to Meta ads, Shopify stores and Discord, AI helpers for monitoring and staff questions, and a reviewed release process.
- Kept safe
- Access by role and by client, encrypted credentials, reviewed releases, and a separate test environment for the AI parts.

Shopify app for connecting the agency's client stores

- Problem
- Each client store's API access key was pasted into the platform by hand to get its order data.
- Built
- A Shopify app built for the agency's client stores to install. It handles the install and sign-in (OAuth), stores credentials encrypted, refreshes them on its own, and removes them when a store uninstalls. Behind it, background jobs pull daily order totals from the connected stores, with a 90-day backfill for new ones.
- Result
- Full install, sync and uninstall flow tested on a test store. Submitted to Shopify's app review.

- A full custom redesign of the brand's Shopify storefront, delivered as an upload-ready theme package.

QuickBooks to Mailchimp sync repaired
Gabriel Service and Repair
- Problem
- The customer sync stopped whenever its login tokens expired or the server restarted.
- Done
- Rebuilt how tokens are checked and refreshed, saved them in a database so the sync survives restarts, and tested the whole pipeline end to end.
- Result
- A sync that runs without anyone logging in again by hand.

- Shared drives, groups and personal drives had grown messy over time.
- Done
- Shared drives by department, access through Google Groups with permission tiers, personal drives moved over, and a written setup process so every new hire gets the same access.
- Result
- Access that matches the org chart and holds up when staff change.

App and database moved from Azure to OVH

- Problem
- A Laravel platform and its SQL database had to change hosts without a long outage.
- Done
- Moved the app and database to OVH with minimal downtime, cut over DNS and SSL, and set up Windows VM replication and load balancing.
- Result
- The product running on its new host.
